“Let it come to war II”

Let it come to war II – eatgrueldog

Outrage turned to anger
Overflowed and out the door
Let it start here
Let it start now
Let it come to war
Lay down their bodies
And burn fires in the night
Fan the flames of fury
With smoke and wind and might
Savage thirst in righteous quest
Will not rest until it’s quenched
Let it start here
Let it start now
Let it come to war

If there were any other way…but history tells us there is not, and anyone who cannot see the exact parallel with what is happening today is blind:

“Each step was so small, so inconsequential, so well explained or, on occasion, ‘regretted,’ that, unless one were detached from the whole process from the beginning, unless one understood what the whole thing was in principle, what all these ‘little measures’ that no ‘patriotic German’ could resent must some day lead to, one no more saw it developing from day to day than a farmer in his field sees the corn growing. One day it is over his head.

“How is this to be avoided, among ordinary men, even highly educated ordinary men? Frankly, I do not know. I do not see, even now. Many, many times since it all happened I have pondered that pair of great maxims, Principiis obsta and Finem respice—‘Resist the beginnings’ and ‘Consider the end.’ But one must foresee the end in order to resist, or even see, the beginnings.”

Says it all. How did it ever come to this? I cannot believe there are so few patriots in our Congress that are unwilling to put a stop to this madness.

Money, power, threats to your safety or that of your families – I can believe it. This is far, far, from the first time we have been screwed. I expected exactly this. And a point made on more than one occasion – there are only about 500 total of them. I’m willing to bet we could round up enough people in America with trees on their properties who would be willing to hang a few of them. They deserve exactly that.
